A small group of BBC International and Indigenous students have collaborated for a 10-module pilot project, run by Global Learner in partnership with the College.
The I and I Project aims to create innovative global student leaders by bridging the gap between these two groups. The first of its kind in Australia, CEO of Global Learner and The Learning Innovation Centre, Jennifer Messina hopes to eventually bring the initiative to other Indigenous communities around the world.
The first meeting, held this week, focused on an introduction to globalization and global interconnectedness. The boys talked about their own concepts of home, dual citizenship advantages, and their futures. Next week, the project will touch on the digital revolution and how a flattening global economy and a future of automation, will impact on them.
